This page is for the education and direction of budding white allies. It contains donation links to sociopolitical causes including mutual aid, bail, and memorial funds for Black victims of police violence, as well as a variety of action items. It also features an extensive but by NO MEANS EXHAUSTIVE catalog of anti-racist literature, compiled by myself and others. It is my hope that this page will give allies that seek further engagement a jumping-off point. In using these resources, interrogate your privilege, do the work to educate yourself, and stop at nothing to uplift, protect, and amplify black voices, especially those operating at intersections of marginality; female, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, non-Judeo-Christian, disabled, low-income, unemployed, neuro-atypical, and non-degree holding BLACK LIVES MATTER. Your activism cannot stop at a repost. Don't let it.

Note: This is an amalgamation of resources made possible solely by the grace of vocal content creators, activists, and the brilliant academics I'm lucky enough to call my professors. I cannot take credit for finding all of these resources, and while there are far too many names to list here, they all deserve our collective thanks. May we be blessed by their guidance.

Materials (WIP)

Readings!

Linked HERE is an initial pool of various works (some academic, some less so, some not at all) that are recommended to any white ally seeking a historically grounded, ideologically diverse understanding of contemporary black history, philosophy, and political action.
The collection will be updated as the website expands. There's a lot of post-colonial and "radical" theory here, but it must be understood that the events of the past few weeks as well as the broader issues of mass incarceration and police brutality are mere shades of the chameleon-esque entity that is white supremacy. The hypothesis of American freedom is one based entirely in the exclusion and silencing of black lives (read THIS paper I wrote on the question of black freedom in the pre-13th Amendment United States Constitution and SCOTUS verdict Scott v. Sandford for more info); we must come to reckon with this fact and the extent to which it jeopardizes both our social institutions and our actions in the fight for equality.
